dc.description.abstract The present study is carried out in the Khewari area, lies in the Southern Indus basin. In this study petrophysical analysis of well log data of the Khario-01, Suleman-01 and Aradin-01 is used and for the seismic interpretation of the 2 dip lines and 3 strike lines are used. The location of the Khario-01 well is on the shot point (SP) 255 and Seismic inline is 0-011-KWI-16 and cross line 0-021-KWI-26. The total depth of the well is 4141m and it was completed in the Sembar Formation and reservoir tag in this well is Massive sand unit of Lower Goru Formation. The seismic interpretation is indicating normal faulting and structure is forming fault bounded closure structure. The Two-way time (TWT) contour mapping is done at the level of Massive Sand unit. The seismic interpretation indicates that well drilled on the downthrown of the structure. The petrophysical studies include calculation of the shale volume, porosity and saturation of water in the Massive sand unit. The average volume of the shale 35% the average trend of the effective porosity is about 8%. The saturation of the hydrocarbon is 50% in the Khario-01 well. The results of the permeability indicates that the well is tight and well is unable to flow. In the Khario-01 Rhoma vs Umma cross-plot formed for minerals identification. At the target depth of Khario-01, the log was not recorded. So, the Rhoma vs Umma cross-plot was formed on the nearest wells. In one of the nearest well Suleman- 01, heavy minerals are present on the shaly part of the Massive sand. It is possible when the test was performed against high resistive intervals the well was not able to produce hydrocarbons. The well was plugged and abandoned. en_US
