Abstract:
Purpose: The objective of the current study was to explore the mediating role of work-life
balance on the association of Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction among the
government and private corporate organizations of Pakistan.
Methodology & Design: The data was collected from 351 employees of private and
government organizations located in Karachi. The sample size was chosen through non probability' convenience sampling. This research is a quantitative study based on deductive
approach. The data is evaluated through testing the relevancy and validity ofthe hypothesis on
SMART PLS software, Structural Equational Model (SEM) was applied to see the impact of
variables, and Boot strap testing to examine to the mediation effect of WLB.
Findings: The result of analysis found that the mediating effect of work-life balance on the
relationship of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction is insignificant. But the effect of
emotional intelligence on job satisfaction was found to be significant. Also, work-life balance
was found to have significant impact on the job performance.
