dc.description.abstract PURPOSE: The sole purpose of the study is to determine the barriers in implementation and adoption of Green procurement activities and practices in FMCG industry of Karachi. Pakistan. METHODOLOGY AND DESIGN: This research primarily focused on the FMCG firms of Karachi. Pakistan. Employees ofsupply chain departments were selected as a research population to know the relationship linking variables and green purchasing practices implementation. The sample size was 391 responses. The research adopted nonprobability, convenience sampling techniques. Quantitative approach has been used in the study. Correlation and regression techniques are utilized tor analysis. FINDINGS The relationship between middle management support and green procurement practices showed significance impact, similarly Corporate social responsibility and availability ot green supplier also showed significant effect on green procurement adoption. However, awareness has not such an effect on implementation of green procurement practices. LIMITATIONS One ofthe limitations ofthis research is that the theoretical framework is based upon Karachi, Pakistan and particularly from fast moving consumer goods industry, therefore, the research could not be executed in a comprehensive manner. en_US
