dc.description.abstract Many reliable and secured biometric methods have been developed engendering authenticated security to be one of the foremost concerns of modern times. Biometric authentication systems are much more secure than the traditional identity verification systems like pin/passwords etc. Biometric features refer to those characteristics which are unique to everyone. For the given problem, we are required to make, and identification system based on these unique features of a person through our system. The proposed idea is an ECG biometric system that will accommodate all the drawbacks of these already existing systems and could provide more accurate and secure biometric system with advanced techniques. Our proposed biometric system uses an ECG signal for individual authentication. ECG has highly individualized nature and can only be extracted from a living human being, thereby providing one of the most authentic identification systems. Also, it cannot be easily replicated as major challenges exists in generating fake signals. In this system a 3-lead ECG system would be used for getting an ECG signal by using a cost-effective hardware and other tools. en_US
