| dc.description.abstract | Purpose This study aims to explain the relationship of Performance appraisal and employee productivity. This study investigates the predictor-criterion relationship by targeting employees from the Supermarkets (Carrefour and Imtiaz) of Karachi, Pakistan. Methodology & Design Employees of Supermarket have served as the research population for this study. Using a purposive sampling technique of non-probability method, this study has collected piimary data from the Carrefour and Imtiaz employees of Karachi. Pakistan. The survey data is based collected from 384 employees. This study has tested the hypothesized on responses relationships by running multiple linear regression analysis. Findings employee's productivity. Salary The overall performance appraisal has positive impact and rewards which is part of direct compensation have positive relation with employee s on performance. Indirect compensation and recognition also affects employee’s performance. Recognition have positive relation with employee s performance. Limitations as the sample subject was Karachi based only, Firstly, limited generalizability ofthe findings hence, findings cannot be generalized to other regions of the country. Secondly, the present and Imtiaz of Karachi, Pakistan only, therefore it is not study deals with the Carrefoui conceivable to predict the study. In the end, this study has only focused on current employees only. scenarios ofother industries by applying the findings ofthe present Recommendations Employees must be motivated and perform well as a result of the performance appraisal procedure.
