Abstract:
Purpose:
Although many studies focus on existing negative effects, little attention has been paid to the positive
changes that can occur in everyday life. The aim ofthis study, or the impact assessment ofthe
COVID-19 disaster, has significantly changed people's lives and personal work. The research will
examine the real and perceived impact ofthe COVID-19 crisis on personal and occupational health
and the mental health of Pakistani workers.
Methodology & Design:
The study is quantitative and is based on a gravitational approach. The purposive sampling approach
is employed for data selection for recruiting sample of 300 participants including both male and
female respondents. The survey questionnaire is designed on a Likert scale from 1 to 5.
Severafstudies have shown that COVID-19 problems lead to a lower status ofworkers and a riskof
mental health problems such as stress, depression and anxiety. Emergencies affect
people, the chronically ill and pensioners the most. One ofthe most common causes ofsearch stress
is the fear oflosing a job and thus income. In addition, social isolation, inconsistent administrative
information and vague prejudices have been identified as important factors that cause emotional
stress and have a negative impact on mental health and well-being.
Limitations:
The main limitation
the relationship between the variables, but does not provide an
underlying causal relationship. In addition, the online survey provided timely infoimation
direct effects ofthe COVID-19 crisis.
Recommendations: .
For the future research it has been suggested that the researcher should focus on different variab es
which can also focus on the causes ofthe variables. Moreover, it is also recommended to the future
studies to conduct the in-depth analysis by conducting the interview with industry experts.
