dc.description.abstract Cloud computing is the emerging field of technology which provides multiple solutions as a service. Using cloud services like SaaS, PaaS and IaaS, users get the number of advantages which cannot be ignored. Multiple organizations are converting from legacy to Cloud based data centers for the greater percentage of availability, elimination of on-site data centers, scalability, pay-as-you-go mode, and many more. On the other hand, there are also some unavoidable disadvantages like letting go of data and data security. As the data is stored on different servers of the Cloud providers, one can not be assured that the data is managed safely and cannot be misused or leaked. Provided the advantages of Cloud computing, organizations cannot afford not to convert to the Cloud based data centers but there is only one main reason many organizations resists from doing so, that is data security. In this report, addressing the issues of data security, multiple-level data-encryption has been presented. Accomplishing the goal of data security, it required researching different novel techniques which could be employed for the better and un-breakable data-encryption. Data Encryption Standard (DES) and Butterfly encryption algorithms are implemented and integrated with well known data storage provider, Dropbox. The application provides the availability of uploading user files directly from this application to the user's linked Dropbox and the files uploaded are first encrypted with DES and this encrypted DES result is further encrypted using Butterfly algorithm. Files on the Cloud can be viewed from this application and can be downloaded right away and the decryption is also performed by the application itself. It has also been tested by different users with good results. en_US
