dc.description.abstract The project is as regards “Bluetooth Messenger”. This is basically a software based project where as JAVA is the core software to be used. The motivation factor behind this project is to reduce cost and interact with people .There are number of options available such as can easily see online offline friends, send corporate text, create emoticons. In this project I have designed and implemented a complete bluetooth system. Most instant messaging programs on mobile phones use either the SMS or the Internet service provided by a cellular network to connect to the respective messaging services and this costs money since data and messages are routed through the service provider (e.g. Mobilink, Ufone). Bluetooth Messenger uses Bluetooth technology to communicate directly with another mobile phone running BT Messenger, and therefore bypasses the cellular network. This results in a completely free and unlimited communication channel between our cellular phones and that of your friends and the people around us. en_US
