dc.description.abstract	Biometric based hostel management system is a system developed to manage various activities in a hostel. The project deals with the problems on managing a hostel and to avoid the problems that occurs in manual management. Drawbacks of the existing system leads to the designing of Biometric based computerized system that will be compatible to the existing management system. Registration will be done along with photograph of a particular student and thumb impression. Verification by thumb impression is done by which one can be verified, also registration number can be used to veri fy and log is maintained for every resident student of hostel.	en_US
