Abstract:
As the name defines "HOSTEL MONITORING SYSTEM" IS software developed for organizing various activities in the hostel. Past few years the numbers of educational institutions are increasing quickly, by this means the numbers of hostels are also growing for the acconunodation of the students. For this reason there is a lot of tension on the person who are managing the hostel and software's are not usually used in this perspective. Tllis specific project deals with the issues on numing a hostel and avoids the troubles which occur when performed manually. The proposed system will reduce the effmis of human and save the precious time. The main aim of this project is to maintain the record of students and generate the alerts on absentees and students who are coming late in hostel. The main module of this project is to mark attendance automatically tlu·ough thumb impression maclline and save the time and date of every check-in and check-out of students in database. The proposed system will reduce the manual administrative work like fee collection it will generate the reports and also able to generate the sms on the guardian's cell phone automatically. Hostel monitoring system is a compl~te web based application being created through PHP using databases from which the information is being fetched to deduce results. lV
