dc.description.abstract The main idea behind this project was to design a Parental Surveillance System. This system includes two Windows Phone 8 applications that would help parents to track their children's location every time they go out. One application is installed at parent's mobile and the other at child's mobile. This system allows the parent to observe their child's current position on Windows phone 8 built in maps. The parent can also trace the speed at which the child is travelling and if the child exceeds the speed limit assigned by the parent, the application generates an alarm in the form of a message box. The parent can also restrict the child from entering any particular area. The main goal of this system is to ensure safety and security of the child, in case the mobile is stolen or the child is kidnapped. this application can be used to trace down the location in both the cases. The application also generates an alarm if the connection is lost. iv en_US
