Abstract:
Comprehensive solution is to be designed to automate the activities of Yahya Hospital, with an easy-to-use interface. The services that are to be offered by Hospital Management and Information System · (HMIS) ·are: Patient Management, Employees Management, Clinical Management, Inventory Management and Financial Management. This information system provides an efficient means for the effective data collection, the storage, the processing and the retrieval about patients. A large number of entry forms are being used for capturing, processing, storing and retrieving the data and information about the patients. The system will carry information about the inventory of the pharmacy and also holds a point-of-sale system that carries out information about the sales and purchase record for medicines and other medicated stuffs. This system will also be capable of generating reports that gives the users of the system ease in there tasks and saving time in terms of file managements. It is an integrated application having front end in developer and Oracle as the database. HMIS (Hospital Management System) Software will be secure in different levels by providing different logins at each level for the package and also for the Database. Error messages and help messages will also be maintained to help the user. The development environment, HMIS has the portability and connectivity to run on virtually all standard hardware platforms along with stringent data security and easy recovery in case of systems failure.
