A Content Management System (CMS) is a system used to manage the content of a Web site without using any technical resources. Typically, a CMS consists of two elements: - The content management application (CMA) -The content delivery application (CDA) The CMA element allows the content manager or author, who may not be a developer, to manage the creation, modification, and removal of content from a Web site without needing the expertise of a Webmaster. The CDA element uses and compiles that information to update the Web site. The features of the CMS system developed by us include Web-based publishing, format management, revision control, and indexing, search, and retrieval. Following are a few advantages the CMS provides over manual systems:Browser-based tools to create, edit and delete pages or sections of your site • Multi-level security features • Dynamic page generation based on the content your or your staff enters in to the system • A browser-based application that allows users to create and edit new and existing web pages without having to learn web programming, e-g. HTML • Maintenance of the system becomes trivial • Easy and quick updating of the information using the admin area • Chances of altering the standard layout and design by mistake reduced to minimum • Standard layout of the whole site according to the agreed upon design • Minimal efforts required to display information in any new layout if existing one is changed • Makes the information retrieval quick • Archiving and retrieval of information from archives is managed automatically by CMS • No software installation is required. Everything is web based and accessible 24 hours a day |
