Abstract:
The aim of this study includes Static Reservoir Modeling of Miano Area
Central Indus Basin. The study concerned with structural and property modeling. The
approach involves identifying and interpreting the subsurface structures and
identifying the reservoir properties from the provided dataset. Well logs and Seismic
dataset were used together for better understanding of this area for field development
planning. The petrophysical parameters of three wells such as Vsh, total porosity,
water saturation, and effective porosity was accessed from wireline logs. These
properties were then populated on structural model by well log upscaling. Variogram
helped to find similarity and differences between data points. It tells about degree of
correlation in different directions at majors and minors. Facies and Petrophysical
modeling indicate that in north-eastern, north-western, and south-western part of
study area, the calculated petrophysical properties depicts good reservoir conditions.
Whereas in other part, reservoir conditions are poor at deeper levels. Reservoir
Quality Mapping shows that north-eastern, south-eastern, and south-western part of
B-Interval and D-Interval has good reservoir quality. Reservoir Quality Mapping was
performed for field development planning.
