Abstract:
Rajian Oil field, which is situated in Eastern Potwar basin is considered the main
target for a source of hydrocarbons in the Potwar Sub Basin. Rajian is discovered in 90’s
for hydrocarbon production and is producing since then. The Rajian structure consist of
tight fault bounded, snake- head anticlinal structure which trend North-East to SouthWest and mainly formed because of the compressional forces in the area due to highly
deformed zone crustal restoration process was performed on 3D seismic cube of Twelveby-Twelve kilometre. This study is intended to predict the reservoir properties such as
Porosity, Shale Volume and saturation of water and hydrocarbon. Model based inversion
was performed to transform the amplitude data to acoustic impedance domain using
accurate seismic to well tie and background impedance model
