dc.description.abstract Banking is an effective part of today's business environment. Lot of business is relying on banking, not only the corporate organization but also a layman is a major consumer of the banking facilities offered by different banks. With every passing day IT and computer is creeping in every field of life and banking is no exception. The automated banking systems provide lots of benefits over the manual banking systems. The electronic account opening process provides the bank employees lots of facilities •)Ver manual account opening process. The bank employee will simply enter the user information in the database. She needs not to maintain traditional registers and account books to preserve the user information. The user is also greatly facilitated with this application. The online bill payment process saves lots of user' s precious time and now she needs not to be part of traditional lengthy queues to pay the utility bills. Same is the case with online shopping, the user needs not to go LO the shop and place order, she can simply fill in the required information [regarding ·1er purchase] and the product will be delivered at her doorstep. In short the problem statement can be formulated as: • Provide an electronic mechanism for preserving user information (including user's account balance) [database] • Devise a mechanism so that user can pay bill while avoidin.~ becoming the part of traditional lengthy queues and hence save the user's prec:ious time [online bill payment] • Devise a mechanism so that user can make a purchase by simply specifying the product and need to go to shop hence saving user's time • Save all the information regarding user's transactions for user and bank's reference [Transaction History] The aforementioned points clearly suggest the implementation of my application. en_US
