Abstract

Messaging servtces and softwares have generated much commercial and academic interest since the popularity of cellular phones. SMS from a cellular phone to . another is something that needs no explanations~ even a layman would know what it is. The importance of communication in an effective way is rising day by day. Humans want an easy and effective way to communicate in the shortest time possible. It is also a dire need to be able to communicate while expressing their emotions and feelings. This software, that we named as UGM- U've Got Message, is another way to cater for the hungry need of the world to be able to communicate. It is designed to be able to send text and voice messages from the Internet to cellular phones and vice versa. The text messaging would provide easy direct communication for the people and the voice messaging enables them to express themselves directly. This is a general product as it can be impl~mented on various clients like Mobilink, U-fone, Paktel, Insta-phone or any other existing or emerging cellular connectivity provider. UGM implements features that have not yet been provided by any cellular phone provider. It uses ASP encrypted W AP to provide data connectivity to the mobile tool kit and ASP coding for the online users. It also has the feature to integrate in itself the feature ofMMS, another rising need of the technical world. This documentation provides a detailed overview of the entire system, its working and its implementation. Thus, it contains information for end users as well as for new developers/analysts/ administrators.
