Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the extent of the impact which the developed logistics sector of Pakistan following CPEC will have on the significance of Pakistan’s geo strategic location after Pakistan becomes a logistical hub and a nucleus for international trade and business. Transport infrastructure up gradation and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have been deeply studied and used as independent variables in this study; and their impact on the dependent variable, geo strategic significance of Pakistan, is analyzed. Data for this research was gathered from primary and secondary sources, and the study was quantitative in nature. Research articles, journals, websites, magazines, newspapers, and other sources of secondary data were used for data collection. A closed-ended questionnaire using the Likert scale was created and used for gathering primary data. Results of this study are expected to contribute towards the positive and healthy image building of Pakistan and Pakistani logistics sector in terms of trade and business, as the logistics sector development is expected to cater to the business interests of many countries which are looking forward to grow their operations in terms of trade through Pakistan.
