Abstract:
Purpose:
Modern day workers are highly vocation-cognizant than ever. They want more in terms ofself improvement and growth. Organizations that don’t value and ignore to meet their employees
needs will lose esteemed individuals which can be reimbursed with the career development
practices. This research project is undertaken on the topic to determine the influence of career
development practices on retention of physicians. The purpose lies in the fact that we wanted
to study impact of workplace activities on employee retention, their working ethics, and
workplace commitment in healthcare organizations of Karachi.
Methodology & Design:
To achieve the goal ofthe study the investigator has used primary quantitative research design
along with positivism research philosophy and deductive research approach. For the purpose
of data collection, the researcher has used questionnaire and for the purpose of data analysis
the research has opted different analytical techniques to analyze and evaluate the collected
data.
Findings:
The results of the study unveiled that there is a significant impact of career development
practices on employee retention. It either make them all motivational to continue with peace
or they shut down disappointing factorial environment. While, working along with many
people around in the different department of any workplace, its environment has a significant
impact on employee retention.
Limitations:
Sample size was limited. Under COVID-19, proper field work could not be conducted. While
a convenience sampling technique was used. Practical Implication:
Healthcare organizations should also realize the fact that employee performance is related to
overall organizational productivity, therefore when employee performs
direct impact on organizational performance.
