dc.description.abstract The concept of web portals is to merge all the components of the internet into one integrated platform. They offer personalized, custornizable, filtered, and dynamic information and resources to members, unlike conventional websites in which every visitor receives the same content on the same page. There is much to learn and much to understand about the various aspects of portal technology, including portal specifications, conceptual design, technical architecture, standards, administration, policies, assessment, and maintenance. The "Teleportal" may be defined as a single integrated point for useful and comprehensive access to information, people, and processes. Portals have a rapid evolving set of features and characteristics. They can be described as both personalized and customized user interfaces providing users with access to both internal and external information. en_US
