Abstract:
Qadirpur is situated in the Ghotki District of Sindh, Pakistan. Qadirpur area lies in the Southern part of the Middle Indus Basin which exhibits the trans tensional regime and the sttuctural geometry is strongly influenced by the Sulaiman Fold and Thrust Belt. There is a well-developed petroleum system in Qadirpur study area. The objective of this study is the purpose of the hydrocarbon potential in Qadirpur-11 well using wireline logs. Log data applied in this study includes the Gamma-Ray log, Neutron-porosity log, Resistivity log, Caliper log, FD log and SP log. Three prospect zones had been marked within Sui Upper Limestone Formation. Petrophysical analysis reveal that in Qadirpur-11 well, Sui Upper Limestone Formation are acting as an effective reservoir. The first zone was marked at depth of 1209.5 meters its thickness is 2.6 meters its volume of shale was 22.04% and hydrocarbon saturation was 80.44% its average and effective porosities were 16.17% and 12.94% respectively. Second zone was marked at 1217.1 meters its thickness is 1 meter its vshl was 20.21 meters hydrocarbon saturation was 79.91 meters and has average effective porosity 12.35 and 9.83 percent respectively. The last zone was 1219.8 meters having a thickness of 2.1 meters its vshl was 14.3 percent, SH was 86.63 percent and its porosities are 16.51 and 14.21 respectively.
