dc.description.abstract Voice-enabled data services are growing at a phenomenal rate, driven to a large extent by the popularity of the Internet and other services they are delivering. These voice-enabled services are generally accessible not only by standard web browsers, but also by some mix of web phones, two-way pagers, and wireless organizers. The adoption of these modes of Internet access is being accelerated by the effects of mainstream Internet usage maturing from an initial hype phase into a ubiquitous set of services we use as common tools in everyday life. Voice Genie is a voice portal service (Voice Genie) for Bahria Institute of Management and Computer Science Islamabad (BIMCS). A voice portal is a platform from where a number of related voice applications can be accessed. Same is the case with Voice Genie. Through this portal user can get admission information, leave a voice mail for BIMCS administration, buy a prospectus through credit card and students can access their latest semester results. By simply dialing a number through their telephones or mobiles users will be able to access the voice portal. User input will be DTMF (telephone keypresses) and get response in the form of automated voice en_US
