In order to improve the sales, vanous marketing strategies are applied, such as promotions and special discounts. The Market Trend Evaluation System is intended, as the name implies, for the evaluation of the strategies formulated by Pakistan Tobacco Company. Since the company produces many brands of cigarettes and many promotional schemes are operating simultaneously on various brands, evaluation of all the schemes is a very cumbersome job. The Market Trend Evaluation System is a computerized solution of the whole problem. The system maintains records of the schemes and the outlet sales; by using the data recorded, a number of reports are generated analyzing the results of these promotional schemes. The system also generates reports and graphs for the evaluation of the outlets. The highest selling outlets, the highest selling brands and a number of other reports thus generated help the company plan for the future production program. |
