Abstract

The purpose of this document is to collect and analyze needs and features of E Consultant, a web based application. This document also helps us to define different users, their needs and what they want from this software. E Consultant is web based application providing consultancy regarding education to the students for Bachelor, Master and PhD programs. 1.1.1 Problem Statement The existing system proposes that student needs to search individual university by going to the campuses of each university or by visiting the HEC site. There is no single platform where students can visit and get education consultancy after doing their Intermediate, Bachelors and Master program. Our web based application will provide the consultancy regarding to the field of interest depending upon on the previous education of the students. 1.1.2 Purpose This purpose of this software that we are creating will provide a complete description of all the functions and constraints of the E Consultant developed for the students who are willing to take admission in Bachelor, Master and PhD programs. 1.1.3 Objective • To bring education at your door step. • To give you guidance regarding your career. • To make a reliable system which will help you to chose your field of interest. 1.1.4 Project Scope Students always require an intelligent system that may advice them to seek a career in the fields best suits them. Career seekers require the guidance from elders in this regard but the appropriate suggestion is always being a question as the guidance provider might not be of the area that of user. There are many other issues that limit the efforts of seeking in time appropriate suggestion regarding the career. Hence there is a requirement of an online intelligent system that provides the expert suggestions to career seekers based on their area of interests and qualifications. E Consultant is a web based online system which provide education consultancy to the students after completing their FA, FSC, Bachelor and Master programs where students can visit as a register user or as a guest. They can search Universities by providing their previous information i.e. percentage marks and program. Students can also search universities by providing country and city name, they can compare courses of different universities and can see ranking of a university.
