Abstract:
The research discusses about the impact of rewards and recognition, employee training, job
stress and organizational culture and motivation of employees leading to its impact on the
performance of employees at their work. To investigate this, data were collected from the
service industry of Pakistan. The sample size ofthe research was 313 working individuals who
are a part of any of the organizations. They were asked to fill a Likert scale survey form
containing 32 items which were targeting all the above mentioned variables. The results
revealed that gaining rewards and recognition along with organization culture plays a
significant role in motivating the employees and thus improving their work performance.
However, the hypotheses related to job stress and employees training were rejected depicting
that there is no significant impact ofjob stress and employee training on the motivation o(
employees and therefore, they do not impact the performance of employees too at their work.
The study is beneficial for the stakeholders and the employers in the service industry.
Moreover, future studies may look at the types ofrewards that keep the employees motivated.
Also, they may focus on other factors for employee motivation to better cater employee needs
