Abstract

Pursuer’ is an Android and lOS Smartphone game application. The game provides 2D User Interface and is designed specifically for the high end Smartphones running Google’s Android Operating System and Apple’s lOS. The game is compatible with the latest version of Android OS; 2.0 Éclair & 2.2 Froyo and Apple’s lOS 4.0 and above. The game app has two stages to that show its basic functionality and working. It’s capable of running on multi-touch smartphones. Pursuer is a story-based game with ancient warriors theme. It has a set of different weapons and the complexity level increases on each level. The game app provides an addictive game play. User Interface is given a prime importance to provide a better and attractive game play. Pursuer, the game app consists of warriors. They have come to rescue a princess that has been kidnapped by the enemy. A warrior who is actually Hercules attacks the enemy with different weapons in different stages. The weapons follow a parabolic path that is implemented using a physics table. The enemy’s has made a structure that Hercules destroys buy throwing weapons. One of the core functionalities includes the destruction of mentioned structure that has been implemented by using Box2D’s. 3 to 5 shots are allowed in a stage to destroy the structure made by enemy to release the princess behind it. The name of the game is selected according to the story.
