dc.description.abstract Basal oil field was discovered by OGDCL in 1999. Garhi-X-01 well was drilled in 2002 in Basal oil field as an exploratory well and it completed in 2013. It is an abandoned oil and gas well. For the purpose of this thesis, 2D-Seismic interpretation and petrophysical analysis was conducted on Basal area and Garhi-X-0 I well. Two dip lines and three strike lines were provided by DGPC. Chorgali Formation, Sakesar Limestone and Lockhart Formation were chosen as reservoirs and were marked on seismic sections in Seismic data interpretation. The area was highly faulted and multiple thrust faults were marked. Time contours and depth contours were also constructed for structural analysis. Finally, for petrophysical analysis, three zones were marked in Lockhart Formation and were analyzed for assessment of their hydrocarbon potential. en_US
