Seismic data interpretation and petrophysical analysis are the main tools in petroleum
exploration which are used to delineate subsurface geology and structural geometries and to carry
out hydrocarbon bearing capacity of the formations present in the subsurface.
The main objective of this study is to delineate subsurface structural geometry and to carry
out petrophysical analysis of the selected zones. To achieve this objective six seismic lines and
well data were obtained from LMKR with the help of Kingdom Software. Selection of control line,
marking of horizons and their correlation as well as marking of faults, followed by preparation of
TWT contour maps and depth maps based on structural interpretation, the overall structural
geometry is a triangular zone with two positive structures on both sides.
The petrophysical analysis reveals the presence of two zones in Chorgali Formation and
two zones in Sakesar Limestone having Porosity 4.53%, SW 84.66%,SH 15.66% , Porosity 5.2%,
SH 29.37%, SW 70.67%, Porosity 3.82%, SW 87.06% SH 12.94%, Porosity 3.4%, SW 80.96%,
SH 19.04% respectively. |
