Online Ticketing System

Abstract

In Pakistan, we have noticed that people do not book a ticket for a bus or train through online means commonly. Manual booking methods are still in use. People must spend a lot of money just for coming to a booking station, standing in a queue to wait for their turn for booking a ticket. In manual booking system, there are other problems too such as loss of data/record, time consuming, etc. But in an online system, these problems have been sorted out because every user can now book a ticket through a website or an app from home or anywhere. There are many drawbacks of current booking system. There is no permanent storage of data of all the bookings and further details. Booking details can be lost or even destroyed by anyone easily. Some places do have online booking systems in place currently such as Pakistan railway website and mobile application are used for booking a train seat and Bookme.pk, dtavel.pk and Easytickets.pk website and mobile application are used to book a ticket for bus. Online Ticketing System can be used by everyone as it is accessible from a website or a mobile application through Internet. Users can book a ticket from home, and they do not have to go outside to any other place. They just must enter some detail and then book a ticket on available seats. Users can book a ticket many days before departure too. After booking the ticket, users will get their ticket in pdf form on which users get details like departure time, departure place, bus/train number, etc. Next phase is designing of a booking system through diagram. In these diagrams, we will show first function to be performed and then next and then next of next. One more thing is very important to check if a developer of this app has a latest system or not Because our system will be functional in an upgraded system.
