dc.description.abstract The main theme of the research emphasis on the 2D seismic interpretation of the study area in order to delineate the petroleum system and the structures proficient to hydrocarbon accumulation with the help of available seismic lines. Geographically, the area lies in Attock District, Punjab, Pakistan. Tectonically, the area lies in eastern Potwar division of Upper Indus Basin Pakistan. The subsurface image of the area confirms the presence of anticlinal geometry and pop-up structures. The results are further discussed in detail by time and depth contour maps’ aid. This document also discusses the petrophysical analysis of the study area on the basis of well log data available for Oxy-Khaur 01 well drilled in the field. The main focus of petrophysical analysis is the evaluation of the primary reservoirs in the study area. The primary reservoirs in this specific well were recognized as Chorgali Formation and Sakesar Limestone of late Eocene age in terms of three main reservoir characteristics i.e., porosity, hydrocarbon saturation and shale content of the reservoirs in the study area. The calculated results show less volume of shale percentage and good effective porosities on average in both formations so both formations were considered as potential reservoirs. en_US
