Abstract:
This study investigates the management techniques for employees in SMEs of Pakistan. This study has considered recruitment & selection, training & development, performance appraisal, and compensation as independent variables. Meanwhile, employee performance is used as the dependent variable. However, SMEs of Pakistan is the sector chosen to investigate the relationship between variables mentioned above. Quantitative research method is used, as primary data is collected through adoptive structured questionnaire based on 5-Likert scale. The responses are recorded from 250 respondents (employees associated with SMEs of Pakistan) through convenience sampling technique. Responses recorded are analyzed through statistical tests (such as correlation and regression) by using SPSS Software. The results indicate that recruitment & selection, training & development, performance appraisal, and compensation impact employee performance in SMEs of Pakistan. Based on the findings of this study, recruitment & selection, training & development, performance appraisal, and compensation have positive impact on employee performance in SMEs of Pakistan. Conclusively, findings have proved that increase in recruitment & selection, training & development, performance appraisal, and compensation brings a definite increase within employee performance in SMEs of Pakistan.
