Abstract:
The unexpected coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has wreaked havoc on global business, causing major disruptions in human resource management across a wide range of industries. Between January 1, 2020, and January 31, 2021, more than 500 articles (indexed in Scopus and Web of Science) on the influence of the COVID-19 outbreak on emerging human resource concerns and practices were published. We undertake a systematic literature review on emerging research in the business and management area in this study to determine what the emerging human resource difficulties are during the COVID-19 pandemic and to offer associated strategies to address these concerns. Based on a review of the literature, nine major human resource concerns across 13 industries have been identified. COVID-19, according to the findings of this study, has a huge impact on traditional human resource management and requires academics' theoretical and empirical attention. The propositions offer numerous study locations for future studies in this discipline and nominate relevant human resource practices to deal with developing human resource difficulties.
