| dc.description.abstract | 2D seismic interpretation and petrophysical analysis of Khuar-Oxy-01 well attempts to quantify the hydrocarbon potential of the study area, Khaur (Tehsil Pindi Gheb, Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan), which depicts the pop-up anticline confined by reversal faults has been identified as a trap for hydrocarbon accumulation. The petroleum play of the study area includes Chorgali, Sakesar as reservoir formations. The seismic interpretation shows the required structure (anticline) and required stratigraphy for hydrocarbon accumulation, Lastly, Petrophysics and its analysis shows that no hydrocarbon potential criteria has been confirmed on Chorgali Formation as the whole formation average resistivity is less. Furthermore, the whole Sakesar Limestone has been analyzed for the petrophysical interpretation which results in only 13.08% hydrocarbons, with minimum porosities, and high neutron log values. | en_US |
