dc.description.abstract The Kadanwari block study area lies 350 kilometres northeast of Karachi in Sindh's Khairpur District. It is located in Pakistan's Middle Indus Basin and is part of the Gondwana domain. The Kadanwari gas field is located on the Khairpur High's south eastern shoulder. It has long been recognised that the region is prone to the creation of sweet gas. Sembar development of Cretaceous age is affirmed the source rock nearby; Lower Goru sands and upper Goru shaly grouping of lower cretaceous age are demonstrated supply and seal separately for hydrocarbons recognized in Kadanwari gas field. Stratigraphy and structural setting of Kadanwari block are defined by analysing 2D seismic data. Five Seismic lines from Kadanwari Area namely GT J88-207, GT J89-508, GT J91- 806, GT J89-512, GT J89-516 along with kadanwari-03 well were utilized for this purpose, and Lower Goru Formation and it’s member H sand were marked on these seismic sections. .The main objective of this study is to figure out the stratigraphy and primary style of the area and to uncover the subsurface geography of the Kadanwari region by the underlying translation of seismic sections. To accomplish this objective, structural interpretation is carried out on all five lines, including the identification of horizons and faults on seismic sections by carefully labelling based on the acoustic response of the ground underneath it. To determine and validate the traps indicated on seismic sections, TWT contour maps and Depth contour maps are created. en_US
