SQL Server DBMS Thin Client

Abstract

This project is basically a web application and which has two parts one is a dedicated SQL Enterprise Manager environment, which allows users to make all types of alteration or updating in their DBMS. It even allows users to manage the logins of SQL Server. It provides almost 90% of the functionality, which is provided by SQL Enterprise Manager. It’s important to mention here that there is no such web environment made specifically dedicated to SQL Server. The other part of this tool is a general DBMS through which you can access SQL Server and Oracle DBMS. Many organizations want to access their databases remotely without bothering on which system they are installed and without any platform restriction. As it’s a fact that Microsoft has a monopoly they never disclose their internal details of their systems so it’s quite difficult to make such application that interacts with SQL Server and there is no any professional web tool dedicated to SQL Server. You can find many general tools to access DBMS. Due to rapid application development and the concept of outsourcing development project, there is a great need of an application that can provide database access to the clients to the company database. SQL Enterprise manager can be used to connect remotely to SQL Server and can perform all common tasks on the desired database. This software can be extended to other DBMS as well like oracle, MY SQL and DB Enterprise. Within SQL server in future we can also provide facility of publication and replication of database which can be helpful to take backup of database and also user can configure database to replicate or publish data after some specific interval, we can also improve database schema diagram in future. Right now our diagrams shows relationship between tables (relation) in future we can also provide facility of showing primary key, foreign key, composite key, surrogate key and other fields of tables in a specific schema.
