dc.description Supervised by Mr. Mumtaz Ali Khan en_US
dc.description.abstract The Kohat plateau is located at the north-western apex of the southern deformed fold and thrust belt that runs through India and Pakistan's Himalayan foothills. The structural geometry inside the outcrops is defined by an east-west trending and south verging Panoba Anticlinorium, as a result of detailed mapping and cross section of the Panoba ranges, Kohat Plateau, and thorough critical review of previously published data. The core of Panoba Anticline is cut by a high angle reverse fault known as the Panoba Fault. The Panoba fault reveals the repetition of the Panoba and Shekhan formations. Oil seepages and contents of sulphur (through smell) in Kuldanna formation were observed. en_US
