dc.description.abstract The present study pertains to the modeling of the productive zones from seismic and well log data. This was carried out by using seismic lines, 795-SK-06 (strike line), 795-SK-07 (Dip line) and 895-SK-19 (Dip Line) and well log data of Dhodak Well 7 provided by the Directorate General of Petroleum Concession. The area is important for its hydrocarbon (Oil & gas) potential. The Dhodak Gas/Condensate field was acquired by Oil and Gas Development Corporation Limited (OGDCL). The area lies in the Central Indus basin in the compressional regime of Sulaiman Fold Belt. Present study area is Dhodak gas/condensate and field which is situated at a distance of 80 km north of Dera Ghazi khan. The field was discovered in 1976 by OGDCL as one of the Pakistan’s largest gas and condensate producing field. During the study of Seismic sections, first of all I picked all prominent reflectors along the faults from the seismic sections. Then, the picked reflectors were confirmed by generating a synthetic seismic section, after which the velocity given at the seismic section were solved for each of the reflector. After calculating the velocity the depth was calculated by using formula; S = V*T/2000 Then the time, depth and velocity contours were generated by using Surfer surface mapping system version 9.0, by the help of which structure was interpreted. In Petrophysical studies first of all, Reservoir zone was identified and Reservoir parameters that are Volume of Shale, Porosity(Density* NPHI ), Net Pay calculation after application of cut-off, Resistivity of Water, Water Saturation, Hydrocarbon Saturation, Lithology were determined. During petrophysical interpretation different cross plots were constructed like porosity, volume of shale, Hydrocarbon saturation, Water Saturation against depth interval which shows the behavior of the reservoir which is key interest zone. en_US
