dc.description.abstract | Distributed computing works by splitting up the larger task into smaller chun~s wh.ich can be performed at the same time independently of each other. The two main entities in distributed computing are the server and the many clients. A central computer, the server, will generate work packages, which are passed onto worker clients. The clients will perform the task, detailed In the work package data, and when it has finished, the completed work package will be passed back to the server. Encryption is the conversion of data into a form, called a cipher text that cannot be easily understood by unauthorized people. Decryption is the process of converting encrypted data · back into its original form, so it can be understood . . NET Remoting provides a way for application in different machines/dor:nains to communicate with each other. Remoting provides a powerful yet an easy · way to communicate with object in different app domains. Any object which executes outside the app domain can be considered as Remote. Our aim is to develop a distributed application Named Distributed File Encrypter/Decrypter for encryption/decryption of large file in a network environment. Our purposed architecture for this application has following major modules which are User Interface, Scheduler, B~oker Encryption/Decryption Services on LAN machines The project will be open source and any one can work on future enhancement according to their need. | en_US |
