Barcode Toolkit

Abstract

The use of Barcode is increasing day by day. Its use is very common in office automation, security and surveillance. It is no more a "point of sales" product, it has fabulous features which world is adopting in business automation now a day. The theme behind this project was to develop a system for the employees and management of BIM&CS to gather and retrieve information on real time bases by using Barcode System, which would then be used for Attendance, Employee IDs, Record Keeping and to generate different reports for the management purpose. The project "Barcode Toolkit" has the capability to read a Barcode image through a Barcode scanner and retrieve record form the database accordingly. The two approaches of using Barcode Toolkit enhance the usability of application, which is, "Producing Barcodes for new records", and other is "read the same Barcode label to retrieve the record". Not only reading and writing the Barcode, the Toolkit also facilitate the user to add a new record, print a new label or ID card on real time bases or save it into the database, update database by taking check in and checkout time through printed employee barcode ID and generates different reports and issue warning letter on the basis of check in and checkout time .. A significant aspect of this product is the single window User Interface that provides the maximum portability and user-friendly environment to the user. The user of Barcode Toolkit can performs all function by clicking one window
