dc.description.abstract This work presents a method for designing a simulation model of BLDC motor drive four quadrant operation and reducing torque ripples. The properties of speed, torque, and back EMF are successfully evaluated in the constructed model. The Model Predictive Controller (MPC) allows the motor to be controlled in all four quadrants without wasting any energy; notice that energy is conserved throughout the regeneration period. For software simulation, a MATLAB/SIMULINK model is employed. For the verifcation of the suggested control mechanism, hardware implementation was done. en_US
