Designing of Wireless LAN in UET Taxila

Abstract

This Project is based on the designing of Wireless Lan in the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) located in Taxila. In this project we physically visited the university and perform several surveys to determine the location of the wireless device called Access point . We have to give them wireless access for the entire campus. We gave wireless access to their departments and also to the whole covered area of the University. The UET Taxila has Four departments in which they want wireless access to their users . We went each departments to determine right location of access points . For this purpose the University provided us necessary essentials for the surveys. We also implemented a wireless LAN lab in electrical Engineering department o f University consisting of 3 0 no des . We also integrated this lab with the un i varsity's existing wired LAN. In this project we recommended them, the required hardware for implementation along with the overall cost of the project
