Linux Terminal Server Project & Linux Router Project

Abstract

These days the needs of the Network are growing rapidly. Almost all the companies and Enterprises are converting their Local area Networks into Wide are networks but the problem they face is the cost of the router because many organization who want to take advantages of wide area network do not have such budget. This project will provide an opportunity for those organizations who can not bear the cost of routers to connect their Local area networks to communicate with each other. And there is another advantage of this project and that's this in most of the universities here in Pakistan they teach only about the router theoretically and never they teach their students practically there are two reasons of this one is they have not much budget to buy these and the other is they never want to allow their students to sit on routers .But students never learn without practice that's why the never feel comfort in the market but due to this project they can use their computers as a router and can compete the international market. This project is also about to the Linux terminal server project in which all clients in a domain can use the hard drive of their server . this will increase the security of your domain and also due to this the network speed will increase . This will also a very cost effective concept because due to this all clients have no need of hard drive. So there are Two main Advantages of this Project: • Cost Effective • Security We Implement this system in NADRA. NADRA have two sub offices here in Islamabad which are working in parallel with Headquarter . So we are using in Headquarter two routers (Computer Based) for both offices .And this is going very well and we still have no problem with it . And we are using Linux only because this is very reliable operating system and we can make our network secure only due to this.
