dc.description.abstract Internet telephony refers to communications services - voice and voice messagmg applications - that are transported via the Internet, rather than the Public Switched Telephone Network For a long time, much of the work on Voice over IP (VoiP) focused on recovering from the lower quality offered by Public Switched telephone network as compared with circuit switched networks. But now the community realises that the actual transport of multimedia from one point to the other is only a small piece of an overall multimedia communications service. Signaling protocols are needed to establish and maintain calls. Features as user mobility need to be defined and architected. Multipaiiy conferences, ranging from three people to millions of people, need to be considered. Interoperability with the legacy Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) needs to be implemented. Quality must be provided, not just for the media itself, but for the service overall. All of these, taken together, are needed to provide a complete Internet telephony service. In this project, I demonstrate different Aspects of voice Over Internet protocol with di fferent configurations regarding to voice Over IP Applications. This project is divided in three different sections. In first section I briefly describe the introduction of Voice Over IP with PSTN network and infrastructure of VolP.In Second Section I explain the different Standards and protocols related to Voice Network and also compare between different Technologies. The last and Third Section deals in Continuation point of View, In which I Configure Different Applications related to Voice over IP network en_US
