dc.description.abstract The purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy in reducing psychological distress levels among female Transgenders. A single subject design with single baseline pre testing and post testing was implemented on the sample of 5 Transgenders. It was hypothesized that MBCT intervention will reduce psychological distress and enhance mindfulness that will improve quality of life among all participants. In order to measure the variables, Urdu versions of Kessler Psychological Distress Scale K10, World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale WHOQOL-BREF and Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale MAAS were used. The results of the study confirmed the hypothesis. All participants showed decrease in their psychological distress levels and increase in their level of mindfulness en_US
