| dc.description.abstract | Purpose: This research aims to determine the impact of employee engagement on the intention of employees to retain in the organization. This research also determines how job satisfaction, pay and incentive and supervisor support impacted on the retention of employees in the organization. This study identifies the •elationship of employee engagement and their retention in the private sector organizations of Karachi, Pakistan. Methodology & Design: Private sectors organizations employees have served as the research population for this study. Using a luestionnaire technique, this research has gathered primary data from the private sector employees of Carachi, Pakistan. The survey data is based upon the responses collected from 250 employees. This study las tested the hypothesized relationships by using the techniques ofreliability analysis and multiple linear egression analysis. Findings: rhe findings ofthe conducted research stated thatjob satisfaction an independent variable have an impact >n employee retention but the relationship between these two variables is weak. Secondly, the findings tated that the pay and incentive which employee receive have a positive impact on the retention of imployees in the organization. Lastly, the supervisor support employees get in theirjobs have a positive mpact on the retention ofthe employees. limitations: 'irstly, the limitation is related to the geography as the sample ofthe research subject was only Karachi ased hence, the results cannot be gathered and summarized to other regions ofthe country. And another imitation exists because the research is conducted only in the private sector organizations therefore it is ot plausible to forecast the scenarios of public sector organizations by using the findings ofthe present ssearch. Also this research is only limited to the present working employees in the private sector rganizations.Recommendations: Firstly, Job satisfaction have an impact employee retention but the relationship is weak. Therefore, managers are recommended to make employees understand what does job satisfaction is and how is it important for the long term career growth. on Secondly, Pay and incentive have a positive impact on employee retention. But it is highly recommended ,o take care ofthis factors for employees as employees consider this variable a primary factor for taking :he decision ofstaying or either leaving the organization. Lastly, supervisor support has a positive impact on employee retention, therefore it is recommended for nanageis to provide support to their employees either emotionally or related to work because employees consider this thing important for staying in the organization. | en_US |
