| dc.description.abstract | Purpose Increasing environmental consciousness is changing the way organizations operate earlier. They adopting modern practices and tools that can lessen the harmful effect oftheir manufacturing practices and also improve their organizational performance. This study investigates the impact of Green supply chain management practices on organizational performance and also examines the complementary impact ofJust-in-time and Total quality management practices on Green supply chain management practices by collecting data from small and medium-sized enterprises functioning in Karachi. Methodology and design: To examine the association between the dependent and independent variables, a structured survey was developed via electronic survey and e-mail. For analysis purposes, the data collected from a sample of 350 small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Karachi, Pakistan, and for testing the correlation that exists in the proposed model, confirmatory factor analysis and regression methods are used. Findings: The findings indicate that just-in-time practices and total quality management have a positive relationship with green supply chain management practices, and green supply chain management practices have a positive relationship with organization performance. Limitation: This research is carried out during pandemic situations hence it was a challenging task to gather the data and perform the research. In addition to this, the Pakistani manufacturing industry is very dispersed, therefore reaching potential respondent required a lot of efforts. Recommendations: Future research can be carried out by investigating the impact of Green supply chain management practices on the environmental performance ofthe organization backed by just in time and total quality management. The research can also include other lean practices in the proposed model. | en_US |
