Abstract:
Purpose:
The purpose and aim ofthis research is to find out or to investigate the effects or footprints of
independent variables (performance appraisal process, compensation practices, workplace
environment and'job satisfaction) on to the employee performance in service sector.
Methodology and Designs:
The research model selected is explanatory. Research was done and carried out by using the
questionnaires. Basically the questionnaire was floated among the employees within the service
sector (such as universities, schools, hospitals and hotels etc.). 350 to 380 respondents responded
to the floated questionnaire.
Findings:
A superior thoughtful and findings was obtained about the factors that leaves footprint on to the
employee' performance. While focusing on to the research, there is an optimistic, considerable
and significant effects ofindependent variables (performance appraisal process, compensation
practices, workplace environment and job satisfaction) on to the employee performance.
Limitations:
There are many challenges, like research representation ofthis study is focusing on only 4
factors ofthe performance management (Performance appraisal process, Compensation system,
workplace environment and job satisfaction). So, for this reason this research was not able to
experience other factors that impacts on to the performance ofthe employees. However, there are
many other factors that impacts on to the employee' performance. Here, we are doing research
within the service sector only.
Recommendations:
All the employees should be treated fairly and biasness should be eliminated. Hence, this can
increase the employee loyalty that will increase his/her performance.
