Abstract:
Purpose
The main purpose of this thesis is to know how different determinants impact Employee
Performance. This research focuses on how Workplace Environment, Reward System effect the
Employee Performance with the mediating role of Motivation in the telecom sector of Karachi,
Pakistan. Through this research, it can be concluded that how important it is to increase Motivation
for better productivity and how different factors significantly impacts the Employee Performance.
Methodology & Design
This research is quantitative in nature and the approach ofthis study is deductive as well-designed
questionnaire was used as research tool for gathering the data. Smart-PLS was used as software
through which the data was analyzed. Descriptive research design was used to gather data from
the respondents. Responses were collected from 400 employees of telecom sector in Karachi,
Pakistan.
Findings
The finding ofstudy reveals that in telecom sector of Karachi, Pakistan Workplace environment
has positive impact on employee performance and same with the reward system. Motivation acting
as the mediator between Workplace environment, Reward system on Employee performance also
concludes that they have positive effect that’s why all the hypothesis was accepted, and findings
shows that for employee performance different factors needs to be consider.
Limitations
Limitations ofthis research are, this study is limited to telecom sector of Karachi, Pakistan. The
sample size is limited to 400 employees from different franchises ofUFONE, ZONG, TELENOR
and JAZZ. Limited factors ofworkplace environment, reward system was analyzed on employee
performance with mediation ofmotivation.
Recommendations
Telecom sector ofKarachi, Pakistan should create opportunities for employees and provide them
with intrinsic and extrinsic rewards. The industry should also ensure that the workplace
environment is comfortable and achievable for better employee performance. Management of
every organization in telecom sector should encourage employees so that they can be motivated
and perform well.
