Abstract:
Purpose
This study is focused on determining the impact of different sub constructs of
Supply Chain Responsiveness (SCR) and Competitive Advantage (CA) and also to
measure the impact of SCR on competitive advantage within the boundaries of Pakistan.
Methodology & Design
This research followed quantitative approach. Data is gathered through primary
source by selecting around 300 professionals who belong to different manufacturing
firms and different SC departments.
Findings
Research shows that responsiveness of supply chain had a great impact on
competitive advantage of a firm. Various factors of supply chain influence competitive
advantage that were also measured through its sub paradigms like price, quality, dd
(delivery dependability), time to market and product innovation.
Limitations & Recommendations
The study can be further modified after focusing on a single sector rather than
covering all manufacturing sectors that may give some different results. Service sectors
are not included in the study which gave the room for future researchers to investigate the
factors that affect competitive advantage in service industry.
