Abstract

This directory should be able to bring the Pakistani IT resources together. This is a nonprofit project with an aim to assist the development of Pakistani IT sector using the Pakistani IT Knowledge base worldwide. India has set its target to become the IT Super Power by 2008. Indians are projecting on hitting a $50 billion Revenue target from IT industry in year 2008. They are already at $ 5 billion plus and are producing 100,000 professionals per year. Where as we (Pakistanis) are still talking about $ 1 billion in year 2005, even that by looking at the current progress seems far from achievable. This Directory will become the one-stop shop for many IT professionals around the world. They will be able to contribute their knowledge inputs, bring business opportunities to Pakistan, assist the local IT professionals, and guide the industry in the latest trends and technologies.
